Does anyone know of a good model for compuational resource requirements? I would like to implement a resource allocation policy, but would first like to be able to reason about and simulate processes' computational resource requirements. For a single resource, people often use an exponentially distributed job sizes arriving with exponentially distributed interarrival times. What is the standard for multiple (possibly correlated) compuational resources?
