Hi, I don't know if this might help, but I wrote a few months ago a small package in Java which has the same purpose as JRes. It is called 'jum' (Java Usage Monitor) and is available at http://www.iro.umontreal.ca/~lelouarn/jum.html . It is system dependent because it uses the 'proc' filesystem and is available for Linux and Solaris. It is not bug-free. Specifically, it doesn't seem to work when too many threads are involved. I didn't have the time to check it out though, since I'm working on another project. Anyways, good luck in your gathering of information. -- François-Xavier Le Louarn Centre de Recherche sur les Transports Université de Montréal La liberté, c'est la liberté de dire que deux et deux font quatre.
