Tools for Computing
III. COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course addresses the use of the computers as
problem-solving and information-processing tools.
Students will achieve functional literacy with an
integrated microcomputer software package, as well as
with the use of computer networks as a resource.

VI. COURSE OBJECTIVES:
A. To introduce the use of an integrated software
package as a problem-solving tool.
B. To introduce the use of other available
resources, such as electronic mail and the
Internet connection as additional tools.
C. To use the above concepts to discuss the impact
computers have on society
